Q. My lower back is touchy. Shouldn’t I just rest when it’s sore?

A. The problem with a touchy back is that it is weak. Our Resistance Circuits will address that problem, by training your back in the safest position possible.

Q. Do I really have to stretch when I work out? It takes so much time.

A. Yes. Working out tightens the muscles, so stretching is a very important aspect of fitness if you want to stay injury free. Our Flexibility Circuit only takes 6 minutes and will speed up the recovery process.

Q. How is 30 minutes enough time for cardio and strength training?

A. You can either train hard or train long, but not both. We believe in what we call metabolic conditioning. Long after the workout is done, your metabolism will be highly elevated. Don’t worry, we start out slow and gradually build to a higher intensity level.

Q. I swim several times a week. Isn’t that enough exercise?

A. No. Swimming does not address the entire musculature, nor does it improve bone density. Think about all of the chemicals in the water as well.

Q. I always get sore after working out. What can I do to help that?

A. First and foremost, our far infrared treatments will greatly reduce muscle soreness when used on a consistent basis.

In addition, stretch. Perform our day after stretches or come in and use our flexibility circuit on your "off" days.

Q. I work out all the time. Why am I not losing weight?

A. Many reasons. Poor diet, dehydration, working out with too low of intensity, and training too often are just a few of the reasons that can prevent weight loss. Ask for a consultation to address this problem.

Q. I’m a woman and don’t want big muscles. If I do strength training, won’t it make me look like a guy?

A. Women do not have the hormones to become overly muscular. You need resistance training to change your metabolism. Trust me, you will not be disappointed in the way you will look.

Q. I’ve been working out on my own at the gym for years. Why do I need a designed program?

A. A designed program helps to ensure you are exercising as efficiently as possible and getting a balanced, whole body workout. Plus, in a traditional gym setting, it is difficult to always use the machines you need in the correct order.

Q. I don’t like heat and can’t breathe in saunas. Won’t I get too hot in the infrared treatment sauna?

A. Dry heat or steam saunas work by heating the air to temperatures over 200 degrees. That makes it difficult for some people to breathe. Infrared saunas heat you, not the air. Our infrared treatment saunas are set to a comfortable 130 degrees. It’s easy to breathe and feels like sunbathing on a summer day, except you are not exposed to damaging ultraviolet rays.
