“Always a Sunny Day”The entire facility at Multiform Fitness is lit with top of the line, Light for Health Full Spectrum bulbs with trace UV. Not all bulbs that are labeled ‘full-spectrum’ or ‘natural daylight’ closely match the CRI ratings and Kelvin temperature of the sun. Light for Health bulbs do. Full Spectrum lights take a little getting used to because we have become accustomed to seeing lights with a yellow cast in our homes, or lights with a green cast in our offices. This adjustment is minor and you will soon fall in love with these bulbs. Why trace UV?Ultraviolet light has a negative connotation today because of the prevalence of skin cancer. The amount of UV in our Full Spectrum Lighting is just a trace and will not cause skin cancer or make you tan. The proportion of UV that is used in tanning beds is much greater than that which is emitted from the sun or Light for Health bulbs. Trace UV is necessary for the production of Vitamin D and is essential for the absorption of calcium into the bones. Why did we make this investment?
Full Spectrum Bulbs are cost efficient. Although the initial investment is higher, Light for Health screw-in bulbs and tubes use less energy. A 75-watt screw in bulb uses just 20 watts of power and lasts up to 10,000 hours (approx. 5 years), or as long as 13 regular bulbs. A 75-watt bulb is safe for fixtures that say 40 or 60 watt maximum. You may purchase Light for Health Full Spectrum bulbs at Multiform Fitness. *”The Daylighting Initiative.
